In a moment of deep worship, as I sought the Lord’s guidance on what to paint, He gave me a vivid image of an eagle soaring high in the sky, with a man praying beneath it—his posture one of humility and surrender. This image was inspired by the powerful promise in Isaiah 40:31:
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
The painting was created during a time of worship at the church, and I believe it carries a message for this generation—a message of waiting on God, renewing our strength, and learning to soar like eagles. The eagle represents those who, in waiting on the Lord and listening to His voice, are able to rise above their circumstances, empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead and overcome.
In our busy lives, it’s easy to grow weary, distracted, or overwhelmed. Yet, as we choose to seek His presence and wait on Him, He renews our strength, enabling us to move with divine purpose and power. Like the eagle, we can soar above the chaos of life, move with the speed of the Spirit, and become the sons and daughters of God He created us to be—led by the Holy Spirit, undaunted by the trials of this world.
This artwork serves as a reminder that when we wait on God in worship and prayer, we are strengthened, soared upon the wings of His Spirit, and empowered to lead and overcome in this generation, which is crying out for hope and truth.
