It’s Sad, don’t you agree?

That it is so rare to see God’s grace and blessings when we rely on our own understanding. That while bathing in the light of day we cannot see the value of a torch? 

Is it sad, that we only see the blessings for what they are in hindsight? Blind to it, until we are walking in the dark.

For we only see God working in our lives in our trials, the pain, the suffering; in our grieving. That in our darkest moments we seek the grace and forgiveness of the Lord. As we bow before the light of the world in agony.

Everyone falls into dark times in their lives. It may not seem like it as some are good at hiding it. But for us, Christians, strong in our faith, we know when to ask for the Lords strength. And have the courage to accept it, wherever and however he provides it. As we know from Psalm 23:4: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.” (NIV)

But for many people, I’m sure you can think of a few; our work colleagues, our friends, even our family. They don’t have the Lords comfort. They are isolated and alone. Living in fear. Grieving in an unending darkness of regret and what if’s.
